Key Qualifications:

• Holds active Missouri Special Education teaching credentials
• Demonstrated experience writing and implementing IEPs
• Understanding of best practices in self-contained, inclusion, resource, and co-teaching settings
• Thorough knowledge of general Special Education duties, including planning, instruction, and collaboration with classroom staff
• Models a strong work ethic, embraces a growth mindset, and maintains a positive, student-centered attitude

Primary Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver differentiated instruction to students with varying abilities within assigned caseload, K-12
• Create an inclusive, supportive learning environment in either self-contained, inclusion, resource, or co-teaching roles
• Develop, review, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in accordance with state guidelines
• Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate regularly with families and other educational professionals
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, paraprofessionals, and other service providers to deliver effective interventions and supports
• Uphold all district, state, and federal guidelines for special education services
