Early Childhood Licensed Special Education Teacher in Cary, NC

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting young learners as a certified and licensed Special Education Teacher. This position is ideal for educators passionate about early childhood development and inclusive approaches. You’ll work a full-time 37.5-hour schedule, primarily serving an early childhood caseload with both pull-out and push-in service models. Typically, the caseload is collaboratively managed between two dedicated teachers, providing a supportive professional environment and opportunity to share expertise.

Ideal Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid state special education certification and teaching license
• Experience in early childhood and special education settings
• Strong knowledge of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and instructional modifications
• Familiarity with both pull-out and push-in classroom service delivery
• Collaborative nature and ability to communicate effectively with staff, students, and families
• Adaptable, creative, and proactive approach to classroom management and instructional planning

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with student IEP goals
• Deliver a balanced combination of push-in and pull-out instruction tailored to each student's needs
• Monitor, document, and report on student progress
• Work closely with another Special Education Teacher to share caseload management and best practices
• Partner with general education teachers, families, and support staff to ensure student success
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning for each child
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom climate that nurtures each child’s growth and confidence
