Licensed Certified Special Education Teacher - Cary, North Carolina

Qualifications & Desired Background:

• Valid teaching license with certification in Special Education

• Effective collaboration skills and the ability to co-manage a caseload with another teacher
• Excellent communication skills to engage students, families, and colleagues

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct instruction and support to early childhood students with special needs, utilizing a mix of pull-out and push-in strategies
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in accordance with state guidelines
• Partner with general education staff and another special educator to share caseload responsibilities and create effective instructional plans
• Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed to maximize student success
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services, assessments, and communications
• Act as a supportive resource for families and fellow staff to ensure holistic student support
