Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid certification and licensure as a Special Education Teacher, with Early Childhood endorsement preferred
- Proven experience in special education, particularly with early childhood or elementary students
- Strong understanding of IEP processes, goal development, and data-driven instruction
- Able to collaborate with co-teachers, therapists, and classroom staff for effective service delivery
- Excellent communication skills for working with diverse student populations and engaging with families
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction through both pull-out and push-in models
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in coordination with colleagues and families
- Collaborate with another special education teacher to manage caseloads and create supportive environments
- Document student progress, adapt teaching strategies, and adjust goals as necessary
- Foster positive relationships and advocate for student needs within the school community
