Elementary Middle School Special Education Teacher in Cary, NC

What we’re seeking:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification, or eligibility to obtain one
• Experience working with students at the elementary, middle, and/or high school level
• Solid grasp of IEP development, progress monitoring, and compliance requirements
• Flexibility to adapt instruction and classroom management techniques
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with parents, support staff, and multidisciplinary teams
• Compassionate attitude and commitment to inclusive, student-centered instruction

In this role, you will:

• Design and implement individualized education plans to address students’ learning needs
• Modify curricula and assignments for students with varied abilities
• Support classroom teachers with accommodations and modifications as necessary
• Foster a positive classroom culture that celebrates diversity and inclusion
• Work closely with families, therapists, and administrators to ensure student success
• Collect and interpret data to drive decisions on student progress
