Special Education Teacher in Casa Grande, AZ

Bring your passion for early childhood special education to a vibrant Arizona school community! This full-time contract role centers on delivering impactful instruction to preschool-aged students (ages 3–5), supporting their growth through collaboration, compassion, and expert teaching. Working alongside a dedicated Child Find team, you will provide early identification and targeted intervention that helps each student thrive. With a caseload that may reach up to 40 students (divided between morning and afternoon groups), your expertise will directly influence students’ educational and developmental journeys.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized, engaging instruction tailored to preschoolers in both AM and PM sessions
• Partner with the Child Find team to develop, write, and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for newly identified students
• Ensure IEPs are compliant and responsive to each student’s unique needs
• Conduct assessments, monitor student progress, and gather relevant data
• Play an active role in IEP meetings, collaborative team planning, and essential staff discussions
• Participate in weekly professional development and planning (Wednesday sessions, no in-class student contact)
• Maintain ongoing, clear communication with families and related service specialists

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Special Education or related discipline
• Valid Arizona Special Education Teaching Certification
• Demonstrated experience with early childhood special education, IEP development, and collaborative teamwork
