Position Highlights & Responsibilities:

  • Full-time teaching assignment
  • Manage a caseload of 12 students (four shared with local high schools)
  • Maximum of 8 students present in the classroom (attendance-dependent)
  • Emotional Impairment Certification required
  • Teach in a setting with no physically aggressive students
  • Supported by paraprofessionals in the classroom
  • Develop and implement IEPs, manage progress reporting, and communicate with families and staff
  • Foster an inclusive, supportive, and engaging classroom environment

What We’re Looking For:

  • Valid teaching certification in Special Education—Emotional Impairment
  • Experience working with students requiring emotional/behavioral supports preferred
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and organization skills
  • Commitment to positive behavior support and inclusive education
