Position Highlights & Responsibilities:
- Full-time teaching assignment
- Manage a caseload of 12 students (four shared with local high schools)
- Maximum of 8 students present in the classroom (attendance-dependent)
- Emotional Impairment Certification required
- Teach in a setting with no physically aggressive students
- Supported by paraprofessionals in the classroom
- Develop and implement IEPs, manage progress reporting, and communicate with families and staff
- Foster an inclusive, supportive, and engaging classroom environment
What We’re Looking For:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education—Emotional Impairment
- Experience working with students requiring emotional/behavioral supports preferred
- Strong collaboration, communication, and organization skills
- Commitment to positive behavior support and inclusive education
