What we’re seeking:

• Active Special Education Teacher certification (NC or eligibility for immediate reciprocity)
• Prior experience teaching in special education (resource or self-contained/adaptive classrooms preferred)
• Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills for working with students, families, and colleagues
• Creative, flexible approach to lesson planning and adapting instructional methods for diverse learning needs
• Experience developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Ready to interview promptly and open to working in a new, vibrant community—candidates from out of state are highly encouraged to apply
