In this full-time, onsite position, you’ll be instrumental in facilitating inclusive learning experiences, collaborating with a dedicated team, and making a positive impact on students’ academic and personal growth.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current Washington State Special Education Teacher certification is required
  • Experience working with students with a variety of disabilities at the middle school level
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues, families, and support staff
  • Adaptability and creativity in lesson planning to accommodate diverse learning styles
  • Passion for fostering supportive and inclusive classroom environments

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to students’ needs
  • Employ evidence-based instructional strategies to engage and support middle school learners
  • Assess student progress and adjust interventions as necessary for optimal growth
  • Work closely with general education teachers, specialists, and families to promote student success
  • Provide direct instruction in academics and essential life skills within both individual and group settings
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with special education regulations
  • Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development opportunities

In this role, you will enjoy consistent weekday hours—Monday through Friday, 7.5 hours per day—enabling a great work-life balance and the opportunity to build strong relationships within the school community. This contract position starts August 26, 2026, and continues through June 11, 2027.
