Special Education Teacher | Catawba, South Carolina

This contract position focuses on serving multiple school sites within the region and is ideal for compassionate Special Education Teachers who want to help students thrive in elementary, middle, high school, or PreK settings.

Role Highlights:

• Work with a variety of classrooms, from co-taught resource rooms to moderate self-contained and multi-categorical environments
• Assignments available in Elementary (8:30–3:35), Middle School (7:30–2:45), High School (8:30–3:35), and PreK (7:30–2:00)
• 35–37.5 hours per week across the school year (July 27, 2026 – May 28, 2027)
• Onsite roles are preferred, with virtual options potentially considered as the start date approaches

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Hold an active South Carolina Special Education Teacher License, with Multi-Categorical or required endorsements for assigned settings
• Experience in special settings, including co-taught, moderate, and self-contained resource rooms
• Endorsement for Early Childhood Special Education (EC Cert) for PreK roles
• Demonstrated ability to tailor educational approaches to diverse learner needs

Your Responsibilities:

• Develop, adapt, and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students
• Foster a supportive classroom environment that promotes positive learning outcomes
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate routinely with relevant stakeholders
