Required Qualifications:
- Valid and active South Carolina Special Education Teacher License, including Multi-categorical (multi-cat) or all necessary certifications and endorsements
- Experience in Special Education settings, especially within elementary, middle, or PreK environments
- Endorsement in Early Childhood Special Education (EC Cert) is mandatory
- Ability to work effectively in co-taught and resource rooms, moderate classrooms, and self-contained multi-categorical settings
- Strong collaborative and communication skills with staff, administration, and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to students in moderate and co-taught resource classrooms or self-contained settings, depending on assignment
- Provide effective leave coverage as needed, particularly at Indian Land Elementary and other multi-school sites
- Develop, implement, and track individualized educational plans (IEPs) aligned with student needs
- Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment
- Collaborate with support staff, therapy providers, and administration to maximize student success
- Uphold all documentation, reporting, and compliance requirements under South Carolina education laws
