Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Current teaching certification in Special Education, or eligibility for certification
• Experience working with students who have a range of learning, emotional, or physical disabilities
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, parents, and fellow educators
• Deep understanding of developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Resourceful, patient, and compassionate approach to classroom instruction

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group instruction tailored to students’ unique learning needs
• Develop, monitor, and update IEPs in accordance with district and state guidelines
• Collaborate with general education teachers, counselors, and specialists to foster an inclusive learning environment
• Track student progress and provide regular updates to families and educational partners
• Create a classroom atmosphere that promotes respect, independence, and engagement
• Participate in team meetings, staff development, and relevant training sessions
