Qualifications & Preferred Experience

• Valid state teaching credential in special education (or eligibility to obtain)
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in special education, education, or a related field
• Prior experience in K-12 special education settings preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP processes and ability to create differentiated lesson plans
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Skilled in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, parents, and administrators
• Flexibility and resourcefulness in adapting to student needs

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized and group instruction to students with diverse learning needs
• Develop, implement, and monitor progress on IEPs in alignment with applicable laws and regulations
• Employ a variety of teaching methods and assistive technologies
• Document student progress, maintain accurate records, and report to stakeholders
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff to create a positive, inclusive classroom environment
• Participate in ongoing professional development
