What we’re looking for:

  • Valid state Special Education Teaching Certification with mild to moderate or severe endorsement
  • Previous experience in an elementary setting or with developmental classrooms strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of IEPs, differentiated instruction, and inclusive education practices
  • Exceptional communication skills for collaborating with families and interdisciplinary teams
  • Flexibility, patience, and creativity in adapting instruction to meet varied student needs
  • Genuine passion for supporting learners with diverse backgrounds and abilities

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing direct instruction and individualized support to students in a developmental elementary classroom
  • Developing and implementing lesson plans tailored to IEP goals and student strengths
  • Maintaining accurate records, progress monitoring, and preparing required documentation
  • Collaborating closely with general education staff, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
  • Engaging with families and caregivers to ensure continuity and success across environments
  • Creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom atmosphere where students feel valued
