  • Delivering tailored instruction to a small caseload (9 students) with developmental delays in a subseparate classroom
  • Overseeing the classroom with the support of four dedicated paraprofessionals
  • Creating individualized education plans and monitoring student progress
  • Collaborating regularly with families, administrators, and multidisciplinary support teams
  • Fostering an inclusive, positive classroom environment

Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education Teacher license, Moderate or Severe (as required by the state of RI)
  • Experience in special education settings, preferably with students with developmental delays
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to adapt lesson plans and instructional approaches for diverse learners
