Oregon Special Education Teacher for Middle School Resource Room

An Oregon school district is seeking a full-time Special Education Teacher to serve middle school students in a resource classroom setting. This role provides individualized and small-group instruction to students with varying learning needs while supporting access to the general education curriculum.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction in a resource model for middle school students

• Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals, services, and accommodations

• Support students with academic skills, executive functioning, and self-advocacy

• Collaborate with general education teachers to ensure appropriate classroom supports

• Track student progress and maintain accurate special education documentation

• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team planning

Required Qualifications:

• Active Oregon Special Education teaching license

• Prior middle school or resource classroom experience preferred

• Strong understanding of special education laws and compliance

• Ability to work collaboratively within a school-based team
