Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of 15 or fewer high school and middle school students
  • Co-teach within general education classrooms, delivering both push-in and pull-out support
  • Create and implement specialized instruction tailored to each student’s IEP goals
  • Collaborate closely with general education teachers to provide a seamless, inclusive learning experience
  • Monitor student growth, maintain accurate documentation, and communicate progress effectively
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings and ensure compliance with all special education regulations
  • Foster a supportive and accountable classroom community

Qualifications:

  • Active Maryland Special Education Teaching License (required)
  • Experience working with high school students in special education settings preferred
  • Strong skills in collaboration, adaptability, and communication
  • Ability to thrive in co-teaching and inclusive environments
