The position begins with professional development from August 13th to 17th, allowing you to connect with colleagues and prepare for a rewarding school year. Students arrive on August 18th. As an Early Childhood Special Education Teacher with a current LBS1 and Early Childhood certification, your expertise will be vital in helping students develop key academic and social skills.
Qualifications:
- Valid LBS1 certification
- Early Childhood Special Education endorsement
- Experience (or strong interest) working with neurodiverse children in K-8 settings
- Passion for individualized instruction and inclusive classroom management
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver tailored instruction to a caseload of fewer than 10 students with various learning needs
- Develop and implement IEPs, collaborating with a cohesive support team
- Foster positive relationships with students, families, and staff
- Adapt instructional strategies to promote success and inclusion
- Participate in professional development prior to the school year for best practices and team-building
