Qualifications:

• Valid state teaching certification in Special Education (or eligibility to obtain)
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field
• Experience designing and implementing IEPs (Individualized Education Programs)
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Flexibility to adapt lessons for various learning styles and abilities
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom environment

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver engaging instruction aligned with each student’s IEP
• Conduct assessments to track student progress and adjust instructional techniques
• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff
• Provide small group or one-on-one interventions as needed
• Participate in IEP meetings, offering insights and recommendations for student goals
• Maintain accurate records and ensure state and federal compliance
• Support students in building academic, social, and life skills for greater independence
