Position Overview
Soliant Education is seeking a qualified Special Education Teacher for an onsite position in the Champaign, IL area for the 2026–2027 school year. This is an education industry position offering a full-time contract schedule of 37.5 hours per week, with an ASAP start date through June 2027. The selected educator will support students in grades K–2 while collaborating with school staff to provide individualized academic and behavioral support.
Position Details
The district is seeking an educator who holds an Illinois LBS1 license and is prepared to work with young learners receiving special education services. The role provides an opportunity to develop and implement instruction that aligns with students' IEP goals and individual learning needs. The pay range for this assignment is $35.68–$55.82 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver specialized instruction for students in grades K–2.
- Implement accommodations, modifications, and instructional strategies outlined in students' IEPs.
- Monitor academic, behavioral, and social-emotional progress and maintain appropriate documentation.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development and review of individualized goals.
- Create a structured and supportive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and growth.
- Use assessment information and classroom data to adjust instruction and interventions as needed.
Requirements
- Current Illinois LBS1 Special Education license.
- Appropriate educational background and qualifications to teach students in Illinois.
- Experience working with elementary-aged students in a special education setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of IEP development, accommodations, progress monitoring, and differentiated instruction.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work onsite and effectively support students with varying learning needs.
Schedule and Contract
This is a full-time, onsite position consisting of 37.5 hours per week. The assignment is scheduled to begin ASAP and continue through June 2027, providing coverage for the 2026–2027 school year. The available opening is specifically for a K–2nd Special Education Teacher.
Compensation and Benefits
The pay range for this opportunity is $35.68–$55.82 per hour, based on qualifications, experience, and other applicable factors.
