This position is ideal for educators skilled in working with students with emotional disabilities, autism, or other diverse learner needs, including those from at-risk backgrounds or who are English language learners. You’ll play a key role in both individual and collaborative settings—developing, implementing, and delivering effective instruction and individualized supports aligned with federal, state, and district guidelines.
Requirements:
- Must hold a valid Arizona Secondary Teaching License
- Current K-12 Special Education Certificate required
- IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Proximity within a 30-minute commute of Fairfax, Central, or Hayden campuses
- E.E.E.I. training (or willingness to participate in staff development)
- Deep understanding of IEPs, transition planning, and data-driven instructional strategies
- Experience supporting diverse student populations, including those with prosocial/self-regulation challenges
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction in Inclusion/SUCCESS, Practical, CBT (life skills/functional academics), and STRIVE (autism/self-contained behavior) classrooms
- Create and track individualized education plans
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families to promote student growth
- Address social, emotional, and regulatory needs through evidence-based interventions
- Participate in district onboarding (CIE July 21-24) and the academic year through May 2027
