Special Education Teacher in Chandler, AZ

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• State certification in Special Education (or eligibility for certification)
• Experience teaching or supporting students in a resource or inclusive setting, especially with K-6 grade levels
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with parents, school staff, and related service professionals
• Ability to craft and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Creative, patient, and solution-oriented approach to working with students with diverse learning needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction in small group and individualized settings aligned with students’ IEPs
• Track and document student progress, adapting instruction and interventions as needed
• Collaborate with general education teachers to support students’ participation in the wider school community
• Engage families and guardians regularly to communicate progress and foster ongoing support
• Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom culture that encourages student engagement, independence, and confidence
• Support compliance with all district and state regulations regarding special education
