Qualifications and Experience:

• Hold valid South Carolina credentials as a Special Education Teacher
• Demonstrated experience with IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Familiarity working with K-12 caseloads in self-contained or resource classrooms
• Ability to perform all essential duties of a Special Education Teacher, including lesson planning, classroom management, assessment, and collaboration with staff and families
• Strong work ethic, a growth mindset, and a consistently positive attitude

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver differentiated instruction tailored to students’ needs
• Develop, maintain, and carry out IEPs in accordance with state and federal guidelines
• Collaborate with general education teachers, service providers, and families to support students’ academic and social-emotional growth
• Adapt instructional materials and strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles
• Foster a classroom environment that encourages respect, engagement, and a love of learning
• Collect and interpret data to inform instruction and document student progress
