Qualifications:

• Valid South Carolina Special Education Teacher certification
• Previous experience in K-12 settings preferred
• Proficient in developing, implementing, and monitoring IEPs
• Skilled in working with self-contained and/or resource caseloads
• Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs
• Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a growth mindset

Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction to students with varying needs in both self-contained and resource settings
• Create and maintain a supportive, inclusive classroom environment
• Develop, implement, and track progress on IEPs in collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams
• Utilize assessment tools and data to tailor instruction and interventions
• Communicate regularly with parents, caregivers, and staff to ensure student success
• Participate in professional development and school meetings as required
• Foster a culture of respect, encouragement, and high expectations
