Special Education Teacher - Charlestown, NH

In this full-time role, you’ll work Monday through Friday, dedicating 32-37.5 hours per week to providing exceptional instruction and support to high school students with diverse learning needs. From August 2026 through June 2027, your expertise and compassion will guide students toward success during a pivotal period in their education.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification (state-specific)
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
• Experience working with high school students in a special education setting
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
• Ability to create and implement effective, individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Familiarity with current best practices in special education instruction

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide differentiated instruction tailored to individual student needs
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with stakeholders
• Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom environment promoting student growth
• Participate in school meetings, professional development, and family conferences
