From September through June, you will travel between various public, private, and charter schools, broadening your impact and experience while collaborating with diverse teams.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid certification in Special Education (or eligibility for certification)
- Previous experience working with students who have a range of learning, emotional, or behavioral challenges
- Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet individual needs in multiple environments
- Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
- Capable of managing a flexible schedule and traveling between sites as needed
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction in accordance with students’ IEPs across several school settings
- Conduct assessments, develop learning plans, and monitor progress for each student
- Collaborate regularly with general education staff, administrators, and families to foster an inclusive learning atmosphere
- Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations pertaining to special education
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions
- Maintain accurate and thorough records of each student’s educational progress
