Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate Resource Special Education Teacher to join a supportive school district in the Charlotte, North Carolina area. This is a full-time contract position supporting an eighth-grade caseload through a combination of resource services and inclusion support. The ideal candidate is committed to helping students achieve academic success while fostering an inclusive and positive learning environment.
Position Details
- Full-time, school-based contract position
- Eighth-grade caseload
- Resource Special Education and Inclusion Support services
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Adapt instructional materials and teaching strategies to meet diverse student needs
- Track student progress and maintain required documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and multidisciplinary team collaborations
Qualifications
- Active North Carolina Special Education Teaching License required
- Experience working with middle school students preferred
- Strong understanding of special education laws, procedures, and IEP development
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs
