Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching licensure required, with endorsement for EBD or the ability to obtain
- Experience supporting middle school students with Emotional Behavior Disorders preferred
- Strong knowledge of academic and behavioral intervention strategies
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with staff, parents, and external agencies
- Ability to develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Passion for creating safe, structured, and encouraging classroom environments
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to middle school students with EBD within the special education setting
- Develop and adapt lesson plans and instructional materials to meet students’ individual needs
- Implement and track progress on IEPs, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
- Provide behavior management and intervention strategies to promote positive outcomes
- Foster strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues to support student development
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation for all student records and reports
