Special Education Teacher - Chatsworth, GA

This full-time contract position centers on making a significant impact with students who have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and non-verbal communication needs. You'll work on a campus supporting three school districts and be part of a collaborative, caring educational setting.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Experience working with ASD and non-verbal students
• Understanding of adaptive communication strategies and individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning atmosphere
• Residing in or willing to commute to the local area

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction tailored to K-12 students with diverse learning profiles
• Adapt curriculum and create materials for students needing unique supports
• Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain regular communication with families, staff, and specialists to support student progress
• Create a positive and structured classroom environment focused on student safety and achievement
• Monitor and track progress, documenting growth and areas for continued support

Schedule & Environment:

• Full school year commitment
• Work hours from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm
• Sizable campus housing students from three districts and offering diverse professional experiences
