Special Education Teacher - Chattanooga, TN

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid teaching certification in Special Education (state-specific licensure required)
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
• Previous experience working with students with diverse learning needs
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to create and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborative attitude and commitment to student-centered teaching

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and adapt curriculum based on individual student goals and learning styles
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs with input from team members and families
• Deliver differentiated instruction in a supportive, inclusive classroom setting
• Maintain accurate documentation and regularly assess student progress
• Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and other professionals
• Contribute to a positive school culture and ongoing professional development
