Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid South Carolina Special Education certification required
• Previous experience teaching in special education settings, preferably in self-contained classrooms
• Strong classroom management and individualized instruction skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with general education staff, related service providers, and families
• Demonstrates patience, adaptability, and a student-centered mindset

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction to students in a self-contained special education classroom
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Modify curriculum and adapt materials to meet diverse learning needs
• Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
• Collect data and maintain documentation for student progress and compliance
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with school teams to support student success
