Special Education Teacher in Chesnee, SC

Exciting opportunity for a dedicated Special Education Resource Teacher to make a lasting difference in the lives of elementary students. This full-time, school-based contract role focuses on guiding students to reach their academic and social goals for the 2026–2027 school year. The selected candidate will deliver personalized instruction and collaborate closely with both general and special education teams in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver targeted instruction in reading, math, and core academic subjects in both push-in and pull-out resource settings
• Design and implement individualized instruction based on students’ IEP goals
• Support students within general education classrooms through co-teaching and ongoing consultation
• Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and adjust interventions as needed
• Collaborate with peers, administrators, and families to create a positive and productive learning atmosphere
• Participate in IEP meetings and ensure all compliance documentation is accurate and timely

Desired Qualifications:

• Holds or is eligible for South Carolina Special Education certification (pending or active status accepted)
• Experience working in resource or inclusion settings is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with educational teams and provide instructional support
• Strong skills in differentiating lessons to meet academic and behavioral needs of elementary learners
