High School Special Education Learning Support Teacher Needed in PA

Soliant is seeking a full-time Special Education Teacher to support high school students on a dedicated caseload. This onsite role requires a skilled educator who can deliver standards-based instruction, manage classroom and behavioral needs effectively, and thrive in an urban school setting.

Assignment Dates:

• Start Date: ASAP

• End Date: June 12, 2026

Schedule:

• Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

• Onsite position

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide special education services to a high school caseload

• Demonstrate strong knowledge of subject matter, instructional strategies, and special education resources

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with state and district standards

• Use formative assessment and differentiated instruction to meet diverse student needs

• Manage classroom behavior effectively and maintain a structured, supportive learning environment

• Track student progress and maintain accurate special education documentation

• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and administration

• Participate in IEP meetings and compliance-related activities

Requirements:

• Active Pennsylvania Special Education certification or licensure required

• Bachelor’s degree required (to qualify for an emergency teaching permit, if applicable)

• Prior school-based experience required

• Strong classroom and behavioral management skills

• Experience working in an urban educational setting preferred

• Ability to complete all required Pennsylvania clearances
