This full-time, onsite contract opportunity features five available positions: four at the elementary level and one at the middle school level. The assignment runs from August 24, 2026, through June 10, 2027, with a consistent 35-hour work week.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active teaching certification/licensure required for this caseload
- Bachelor’s degree required (mandatory for emergency teaching permit)
- Previous experience in a school setting is essential
- Strong classroom and behavioral management abilities
- Demonstrated ability to design and deliver lesson plans aligned with current state and district standards
- Experience working in an urban educational setting
- Capacity to create differentiated instruction informed by continual formative assessment
- Ability to complete all Pennsylvania clearances prior to the start date
- Reliable transportation is necessary
- Comfortable navigating district and location requirements
- Must be available to work onsite from 8:30AM to 4PM without schedule accommodations
Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate mastery of special education subject matter and instructional strategies
- Develop and implement effective, standards-aligned lesson plans and classroom resources
- Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom culture
- Adapt instruction to individual student needs and monitor progress
- Maintain consistent communication with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Support students’ academic and behavioral growth, applying strong classroom management skills
