Special Education Teacher - Chester, Pennsylvania

Your instructional skills and knowledge of special education will help shape inclusive learning environments and foster each student’s growth. This contract opportunity offers the fulfilling chance to work full-time (35 hours/week) from August 24, 2026 through June 10, 2027.

What We’re Looking For:

• Valid certification/licensure for assigned caseload (requirement)
• Bachelor’s degree required to obtain emergency teaching permit
• Previous school-based special education teaching experience
• Mastery of subject matter and ability to differentiate instruction
• Proficiency in lesson planning aligned with current standards
• Outstanding classroom and behavior management capabilities
• Experience working in an urban educational setting
• Comfort with onsite presence—no remote or schedule accommodations
• Reliable transportation
• Completion of all necessary PA clearances

Your Role & Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging instruction to students in elementary, middle, or high school settings
• Develop and implement standards-based lessons that address diverse abilities
• Utilize formative assessment to guide instruction and student growth
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom climate conducive to learning
• Collaborate with school staff and supports to ensure student success
• Maintain compliance with district and state policies
