Embark on a rewarding, full-time contract opportunity supporting the academic and developmental needs of students for the 2026-2027 school year. Four engaging openings are available in middle and high school settings for dedicated Special Education professionals committed to helping students thrive.
One position targets middle school, with hours tentatively set for 8:30AM-4PM or 8AM-3:15PM, while three positions are available in high school, each with a 7:15AM-2:45PM schedule. High school roles feature specific concentrations in Science, Math, and Social Studies. Expect 35 hours per week, with on-site responsibilities running from August 24, 2026, through June 10, 2027.
Ideal candidates bring the following qualifications:
- Demonstrated expertise in special education instructional strategies
- Active certification or licensure appropriate for managing a caseload
- Bachelor’s degree (minimum required for emergency permit eligibility)
- Mastery of subject matter and ability to create differentiated, standard-aligned lesson plans
- Experience working in a school environment, particularly in urban settings
- Exceptional classroom and behavioral management skills
- Reliable transportation and the ability to meet required schedule without modifications
- Comfort navigating district protocols and varying classroom settings
- Compliance with required Pennsylvania state clearances
Responsibilities include planning and executing engaging, standards-based lessons, monitoring student progress through formative assessments, and effectively managing classroom behavior. You will collaborate with school staff to foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
