Special Education Teacher - Chester, Pennsylvania

This full-time, onsite contract role offers stability with two positions available, both focused on grades K-2. You'll be an integral part of a dedicated team, guiding young learners and making a meaningful impact through the 2026-2027 school year, with the contract extending to June 10, 2027.

What You'll Bring:

• Current active certification or licensure suitable for a K-2 caseload
• Bachelor’s degree, with eligibility for an emergency teaching permit
• Demonstrated mastery of relevant subject matter and evidence of effective instructional methods
• Prior experience in school settings, preferably in urban environments
• Strong classroom and behavioral management capabilities
• Familiarity and comfort with district practices and location
• Proven adaptability in diverse classrooms and sensitivity to students’ varied learning needs
• Reliable transportation for daily onsite work
• Ability to work the full schedule: 8:30 AM–4:00 PM; please note that specific accommodations for schedules cannot be provided
• Completion of all Pennsylvania clearances prior to start

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• Creating and implementing lesson plans tailored to state and district standards using formative assessment and differentiation techniques
• Providing engaging, inclusive instruction to K-2 students in a special education setting
• Managing classrooms effectively to foster a positive, safe, and stimulating learning environment
• Preparing instructional resources and maintaining accurate records in compliance with district protocols
• Collaborating with other educators, families, and stakeholders to maximize student progress
