Special Education Teacher in Chester, PA

Step into a meaningful role supporting students’ growth as a Special Education Teacher in an elementary school setting. This full-time contract position offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact in a vibrant school environment from now through June 2027. You’ll be responsible for creating engaging lesson plans and providing individualized instruction, working onsite between 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM for 35 hours per week. You’ll collaborate with a dedicated team and help students thrive both academically and personally, all while contributing to a supportive learning community.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid and active special education certification or licensure for assigned caseload
• Bachelor’s degree required (eligible for emergency teaching permit if needed)
• Experience working in schools with diverse student populations, particularly in urban settings
• Proven strength in classroom and behavior management
• Mastery of subject matter and current instructional practices
• Familiarity with state and district standards, and the ability to differentiate instruction
• Comfortable adapting lessons based on formative assessment
• Completion of all required Pennsylvania school clearances
• Dependable transportation and punctuality for assigned hours (8:30AM-4:00PM)
• Willingness and ability to work onsite with no schedule accommodations
