Special Education Teacher in Chester, PA

Step into a rewarding opportunity working full-time as a Special Education Teacher in a contract role at a vibrant elementary school near Chester, PA. This onsite position offers 35 hours per week with a schedule between 8:30AM and 4PM, starting as soon as possible and continuing through June 10, 2027.

In this role, you will:

• Demonstrate expertise in special education instruction, utilizing effective teaching strategies and resources.
• Develop and implement detailed lesson plans that align with current state and district standards.
• Foster an inclusive classroom environment by differentiating instruction and conducting formative assessments to drive student learning.
• Uphold strong classroom and behavior management techniques, particularly suited to urban educational settings.
• Build positive relationships with students, staff, and families while adapting to the district’s environment.

Qualifications and Experience Needed:

• Active Pennsylvania certification or licensure for the assigned caseload.
• If not fully certified, a bachelor’s degree is required for an emergency teaching permit.
• Proven school-based experience, ideally in urban settings.
• Reliable transportation to maintain punctual, onsite attendance.
• Comfortable working strictly within the established schedule; accommodations cannot be made.
• Ability to complete all PA clearances before beginning the assignment.
• Strong classroom and behavioral management abilities.
