Special Education Teacher | Chester, Pennsylvania

Make an immediate impact by supporting young learners as a Special Education Teacher in a vibrant elementary school environment. With two full-time positions available for K-2 classrooms, this contract opportunity offers meaningful work throughout the school year, through June 10, 2027. You'll play a crucial role providing specialized instruction onsite, surrounded by collaborative, dedicated educational professionals.

Ideal candidates demonstrate mastery in Special Education, a solid grasp of instructional practices, and expertise with relevant resources and curriculum aligned to current state and district standards. Strong classroom and behavioral management skills are essential, along with the ability to differentiate instruction and drive student growth through effective lesson planning and formative assessment. Prior school-based experience, especially in urban settings, is important for success in this role.

Required experience and qualifications:

• Valid certification or licensure for applicable caseload
• Ability to obtain all necessary PA clearances
• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) required for emergency teaching permit consideration
• Experience working in schools, especially urban environments
• Strong classroom management capabilities
• Comfortable adhering to school and district expectations
• Reliable transportation to ensure punctual onsite attendance, 8:30AM-4PM; schedule cannot be modified
• Willing to participate in a Zoom interview as part of the hiring process

Position details:

• Two full-time contract openings (35 hours/week)
• Serving K-2 in elementary settings onsite
• Start date: ASAP; contract through June 10, 2027
• No schedule accommodations, must be available onsite
