Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Active Special Education teaching certification or licensure (required for caseload)
  • Bachelor’s degree (required for emergency teaching permit)
  • Experience in a school setting, preferably in urban environments
  • Strong classroom and behavioral management abilities
  • Mastery of subject matter and effective instructional techniques
  • Comfortable with the district’s setting and culture
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Ability to complete all required PA clearances
  • Ability to work onsite between 8:30AM-4PM (no flexibility in schedule)

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons aligned with state and district standards
  • Utilize formative assessment to guide instruction and support all learners
  • Maintain effective classroom and behavior management
  • Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with colleagues and families
