Qualifications & Experience:

• Active certification or licensure for special education caseload is required
• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree to qualify for an emergency teaching permit
• Previous experience working in schools, ideally within urban settings
• Demonstrates mastery of special education subject matter and instructional strategies
• Must be able to complete all required Pennsylvania clearances
• Reliable transportation and punctuality between 8:30AM–4PM
• Comfortable working onsite with younger elementary grades (K-2)
• Strong classroom and behavior management capabilities
• Flexible and responsive to district needs, policies, and schedules

Responsibilities:

• Create engaging, standards-aligned lesson plans for K-2 special education students
• Deliver instruction utilizing differentiation and formative assessment
• Foster a positive learning environment and inspire student growth
• Collaborate closely with fellow educators, staff, and families
• Meet deadlines and adhere to required documentation and expectations
