As an Extended School Year (CSY) Special Education Teacher, you will work with students ages 3–22 who have active Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). These students present with emotional disabilities, specific learning disabilities, and a variety of related needs. Your expertise will shape personalized learning opportunities that make a real difference.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction that targets individual IEP objectives
- Implement intensive academic and behavioral interventions tailored to student needs
- Collaborate closely with related service providers, support staff, and families
- Accurately monitor and document student progress
- Establish a structured, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification, LBS1 required
- Proven experience with students facing emotional and specific learning challenges
- Skilled in providing individualized support and adapting strategies as needed
- Confident in classroom management and proactive behavior intervention
