Key Qualifications:

• LBS1 licensure for grades 9-12, valid in Illinois
• Previous experience teaching special education at the high school level strongly preferred
• Exceptional communication skills to collaborate with students, staff, and families
• Dedication to individualized instruction, accommodations, and student advocacy

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs within high school environments
• Develop, implement, and track Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers to ensure student success
• Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and compliance with all state and federal regulations
• Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to address students’ learning styles and abilities
• Communicate regularly with families and caregivers about student progress and goals

Work Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm
