Key Qualifications:
- LBS1 licensure for grades 9-12, valid in Illinois
- Previous experience teaching special education at the high school level strongly preferred
- Exceptional communication skills to collaborate with students, staff, and families
- Dedication to individualized instruction, accommodations, and student advocacy
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs within high school environments
- Develop, implement, and track Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers to ensure student success
- Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and compliance with all state and federal regulations
- Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to address students’ learning styles and abilities
- Communicate regularly with families and caregivers about student progress and goals
Work Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm
