Multiple positions are available in both elementary and middle school settings. Current openings include roles in the RISE Autism Self-Contained Program at the elementary and middle school levels, a position in the AIM low-incidence life skills class, and roles supporting social-emotional learning (SEL) for students with emotional and behavioral needs within elementary and middle school populations.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and deliver tailored instructional strategies for students with a range of learning needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorders and other exceptionalities.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including speech pathologists, counselors, and occupational therapists.
  • Foster inclusive and positive classroom environments designed to maximize student independence and self-advocacy skills.
  • Implement and monitor IEPs, modify curriculum, and track progress using specialized data collection tools.
  • Communicate consistently with families and caregivers to support educational and behavioral goals.
  • Organize and take part in school-wide initiatives that promote awareness, acceptance, and success for all learners.

Applicants should have:

  • A valid Special Education Teaching License (Illinois or eligibility for reciprocity).
  • Experience or strong interest in working with autism, low-incidence disabilities, or social-emotional learning populations.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Dedication to ongoing professional growth and culturally responsive teaching.
  • Ability to adapt in dynamic environments and maintain a student-focused approach.
