Ideal candidates will have:

  • Valid LBS1 Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) covering grades K–22.
  • Previous experience supporting students in K–12 educational settings.
  • Strong skills in developing, writing, and tracking goals for Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Experience or interest in working with a range of disabilities, including learning, emotional, and autism spectrum disorders.
  • Exceptional communication and organization skills, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and delivering instruction tailored to each student’s Individualized Education Program.
  • Creating a supportive, inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages growth and self-advocacy.
  • Collaborating with parents, administrators, and other educators to ensure optimal learning outcomes.
  • Conducting progress monitoring and maintaining accurate documentation for compliance.
