Take your expertise in special education to the next level by stepping into the pivotal role of IEP Coordinator. This contract, full-time opportunity near Chicago, IL focuses exclusively on managing and facilitating all aspects of the Individualized Education Program (IEP) process—without the demands of direct classroom instruction. At 30 hours per week, you’ll leverage your strengths in organization, communication, and compliance to support both students and the education teams who serve them.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule and lead IEP meetings to ensure students’ services are coordinated effectively
- Serve as the main point of contact for families, teachers, and related service providers
- Maintain compliance by ensuring all IEP paperwork is accurate, timely, and complete
- Keep thorough and organized student records while safeguarding sensitive information
- Collaborate with school and district staff to guarantee alignment with state and federal requirements
- Utilize online platforms and district IEP management systems to streamline processes
- Monitor timelines, document milestones, and support case management functions
Desired Qualifications:
- Current Special Education certification required (Birth–21 preferred, though all considered)
- Previous experience as an IEP Coordinator, Case Manager, ARD Facilitator, or similar special education role is highly valued
- Familiarity with Embrace and Chicago Public Schools (CPS) IEP systems strongly preferred
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
- Confident communicator comfortable juggling multiple priorities and stakeholders
- Deep understanding of special education documentation and compliance standards
