Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement effective lesson plans to meet grade-level and individualized IEP goals
- Utilize structured teaching supports, visual aids, sensory integration tools, and communication strategies
- Implement social-emotional and behavioral interventions tailored to the needs of each student
- Collaborate closely with related service professionals to enhance student outcomes throughout the day
- Foster a supportive, inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and growth
- Provide guidance and support to program aides and 1:1 staff in the classroom
- Maintain clear and consistent documentation regarding student progress and program effectiveness
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Experience working in cross-categorical classrooms or with students with autism preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Knowledge of adaptive teaching methods and strategies for differentiated instruction
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
