What you’ll bring to the role:
- Active Special Education Teacher certification (Illinois)
- Experience working with students with varying learning profiles, including academic, behavioral, and communication challenges
- Knowledge of curriculum differentiation, IEP processes, and data-driven instruction
- Familiarity with structured teaching, visual supports, sensory strategies, and social-emotional interventions
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with aides, related service providers, and families
- Adaptability, creativity, and a true passion for advocating for students’ individualized needs
Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Delivering engaging, targeted instruction to a 4th grade cross-categorical classroom
- Implementing and monitoring progress toward IEP goals alongside grade-level curriculum

- Coordinating closely with program aides, 1:1 support staff, and related service providers throughout the instructional day
