Working at Grant Elementary, you’ll provide vital academic and executive functioning support to students two days per week.

In this role, you’ll leverage your expertise in resource programming to enable students to succeed alongside their peers, while also ensuring tailored instruction and IEP accommodations are met. Your contributions will directly help students achieve their individualized goals while building essential academic skills.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Special Education Teacher certification appropriate for Illinois schools
  • Prior experience or training in resource settings, supporting students with IEPs
  • Strong knowledge of push-in and pull-out instructional models
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and adept in differentiating instruction

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide part-time resource support (2 days per week) to students requiring academic interventions and accommodations
  • Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and track student progress
  • Collaborate with general education teachers to ensure curriculum access for students
  • Offer both push-in and pull-out instructional services based on student and classroom needs
  • Document and report on student development and goal achievement
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment
