Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teaching certification
• Demonstrated experience or strong interest working with primary-aged students
• Thorough understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Strong collaboration and communication skills to partner effectively with general education teachers, staff, and families
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive classroom environment
• Flexibility, creativity, and empathy when adapting instruction to meet diverse learner needs

Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver differentiated instruction tailored to students’ IEP goals
• Monitor students’ progress, adjusting strategies as needed to support growth
• Create a classroom atmosphere that promotes learning, safety, and respect
• Collaborate with fellow educators, support staff, and families to develop and review IEPs
• Maintain detailed records in compliance with special education requirements
• Advocate for and support students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development
