These contract positions are set for the 2026-2027 school year in a location easily accessible from Chicago, IL.

Qualified educators will bring energy, adaptability, and a commitment to best practices in special education, working collaboratively to meet students at their level and help them succeed.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Special Education teaching certification (or eligibility for certification)
  • Previous classroom experience with young learners, preferably in special education settings
  • Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and compliance
  • Strong communication skills for working with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to create and adapt individualized instructional plans
  • Experience differentiating instruction for varying academic and behavioral needs

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver targeted instruction to either a dedicated Kindergarten or 1st Grade instructional caseload
  • Evaluate and monitor student progress, updating IEP goals as needed
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and support staff
  • Cultivate a positive, structured, and supportive classroom climate
  • Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, ensuring all documentation is accurate and timely
  • Engage families in the educational process through regular updates and meetings
