This position covers the academic year from August 17th through May 28th, with a consistent schedule of 37.5 hours per week. You’ll have the chance to make a lasting impact, guiding approximately 15 students in resource or co-taught settings, where collaborative learning and individualized instruction are priorities. Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Hold a valid Special Education Teaching certification for middle school
  • Previous experience working with students with varying learning abilities is preferred
  • Strong understanding of IEPs and differentiation strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, staff, and families
  • Ability to adapt teaching style to meet individual student needs
  • Comfortable collaborating in co-taught or resource environments

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students
  • Provide specialized instruction individually and in small groups
  • Collaborate with general education teachers to create inclusive classroom experiences
  • Monitor student progress and adjust instructional methods as needed
  • Participate in team meetings and communicate regularly with parents/guardians
  • Create a supportive, structured learning environment where students can thrive
  • Maintain accurate records and maintain compliance with special education regulations
