Exciting opportunities are available for a contract Special Education professional with expertise in servicing PreK–4th grade students in a supportive school environment near Chicago, IL. In this push-in/pull-out resource assignment, you’ll share a manageable caseload with two other colleagues and work primarily with students within one or two designated grade levels, ensuring focused, meaningful intervention and support.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement, valid for PreK–5th grade—please be sure your current licensure is clearly documented.
  • Previous experience or strong comfort level working with students in the PK–4th age range.
  • Familiarity with the delivery of both push-in and pull-out special education resource services.
  • Dedicated, flexible, and able to collaborate well with other special education staff and general education teachers.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver targeted resource support to students in assigned grades through a push-in/pull-out model.
  • Collaborate closely with other resource teachers to effectively split caseloads and support all students' learning goals.
  • Create, modify, and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in alignment with each learner’s needs.
  • Foster a nurturing, positive classroom environment and advocate for inclusive practices in the school community.
  • Communicate progress and strategies with staff and student families as needed.

This contract position offers 37.5 hours per week (Monday through Friday), and compensation ranges from $40–$50 per hour, depending on your experience, degree, and other qualifications.
